Battery booster cable / jumper cable with fully insulated charging clips / battery clamps / crocodile clips

Fundamental to battery booster cable / jumper cable

Booster cable ( also called jump leads or jumper cables ) are required to start vehicles with weak batteries .A battery booster cable (also known jump leads or jumper cables ) consists of two cables , each with two battery clamps ( also charging clamps or crocodile clips ). Please chose a battery booster cable ( also known as jumper cables or jump leads ) with a sufficient cross-section and sufficient length. The battery clamps ( also charging clamps or crocodile clips ) should be fully insulated in any case , for larger vehicles we recommend battery clamps ( also known as charging clamps or crocodile clips ) made of cast brass . We recommend quality products from German production , MADE IN GERMANY.

User manual for battery booster cables ( also known as jumper cables or jump leads )

One cable connects the positive battery terminal of the booster vehicle with the positive terminal of the vehicle to be started . The first red, plus battery clamp ( also called charging clamp or crocodile clip ) is clamped to the battery terminal of the weak battery. Then clamp the second red , plus battery clamp ( also called charging clamp or crocodile clip ) to the battery terminal of the fully charged battery. Now, the first black , minus battery clamp ( also called charging clamp or crocodile clip ) is clamped to the battery terminal of the fully charged battery. Finally, we the second black , negative battery clamp ( also called charging clamp or crocodile clip )is clamped to a metal part of the engine compartment of the break down vehicle. This battery clamp must not be clamped to the battery terminal. Here flammable gases may be generated which could explode due to sparking . In order to produce a better contact you could wobble the battery clamps ( also called charging clamps or crocodile clips ) slightly . After successful start process disconnect the booster cable (also known jump leads or jumper cables ) in reverse order . It is recommended before removing to switch on a powerful electric consumers. We recommend a booster cable (also known as jump leads or jumper cables ) with protective circuit ( startsafe or startguard) to protect electrical devices against surges.
